General Tour Information | Hours of Operation | Tour Pricing | Tour Policies | Reservations and Information

General Information:

We are a REAL working dairy farm. As such, we have a variety of equipment, animals and areas which require your attention and respect. Some of these are open to you, others are private. As we open our farm to you (and those in your group), we will assign a primary contact person to act as your guide. Please direct all questions and concerns to your guide, and follow all instructions accurately. We expect you to be attentive, stay together, follow directions and act responsibly at our farm. Some of the animals can kick and/or bite, and others are too young, small or restricted to protect themselves from danger or accident. You are required to respect the animals at all times; no poking, pulling, grabbing, hitting, spitting, chasing, pushing, yelling or attempting to sit on or pick any animal up, except where invited by and in the presence of your guide.

In visiting the farm, you are required to have reasonable adult supervision (parent or guardian, teacher, chaperone, or supervisor) to safely and effectively manage all minors in your group. While we do not mandate what that should be, we reserve the right to determine when something represents a problem for us or others and take corrective action, including ending a tour or asking someone to leave. You (as an adult, parent or supervisor) need to keep all children close at hand, oversee their activities at all times and watch for their safety around others, our buildings, and active and stationary farm equipment.

We work hard to provide and maintain and clean and safe environment at our farm, including portable toilets and hand wash stations, with antibacterial solution and gel. However, this is a working dairy farm, and you are responsible to ensure that all children in your group engage in safe practices in the bathrooms, after touching or feeding animals, or when touching things on the farm and before and after any exposure to food or snacks. We ask that you PLEASE stay with your Guide at all times on your tour.
Biosecurity of Hinchley's Dairy Farm

If you or your family, has visited/traveled to other farms, processing plants or agricultural areas PLEASE contact us prior to visit the farm.
If nessessary, we may ask that you wear protective booties as not to come in contact with our animal's  or their feed, so as possible contamination could be limited.
