About Hinchely's Dairy Farm!

Hinchley's Dairy Farm is a WORKING dairy farm!That means that we live and work on our farm. The farm is owned by my husband, Duane, and myself, Tina Hinchley. We live here with our four children. The farm house is near the barn and we all work together everyday.
Originally this was Duane's family farm, and it was his father's before him. Duane was raised here with two sisters and two brothers. His Mother Ruth, passed away in 1993, and his Keith just recently in April 2009. He was 80 years old and worked with us almost daily. He was our inspriration and an amazing father. He is greatly missed by all of us. Duane and I purchased the farm from him in the year 2000.

Duane has always loved farming and has great motivation and enthusiam with this lifestyle. I have always loved the farm life and have enjoyed being on the farm raising our children and working together with Duane. We both have big plans for the farm and work very hard to accomplish them.
We have over 230 register Holstein dairycattle. We milk about 90 cows twice, every day of the year. The others are replacement calves that are housed throughout the farm. We also farm nearly 2300 acres nearby. Some feilds are over 30 miles away, but most are near the home farm. We raise corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and pumpkins (just for you!). Only a small portion is raised for our animals to eat, most is sold and then comes back to you as products in the grocery store or even at your gas station.
At our farm, we also raise a number of farm animals, which you can see when you come to visit. There will be cows, cows, and more cows for you to pet and milk. Chickens, goats, ducks, geese, llamas and pigs at times. Throughout the seasons, we have babies that quickly grow to full grown animals. Many visit us in the spring to see and touch the babies. Calves, chicks, goat kids, kittens and ducklings. Then return to see them grow in the summer, take a stroll out to pick sweet corn or raspberries and check out the other crops. And then return in the fall. The pumpkins are all grown, waiting to be harvested by you. The farm animals will be waiting for you to feed them again. Many visitors quickly become family friends.
It was my idea to open our doors to show people the life we live. So many people wonder how we do what we do. It is not an easy life, yet it is honest and good.
